Modified CEC YT-2400 Outrider by wingzero-01-custom Modified CEC YT-2400 Outrider by wingzero-01-custom
So a week ago I bought a Millenium Falcon set# 7965 so that I could build the Corellian Engineering Corp. YT-2400. Specifically Dash Rendar's Outrider. Here I am one week later, after all the tinkering and adjusting and building posting my results. Though she has no escape pods or any other specific details to the class I feel they were welcome sacrifices for the over all look which if you'll permit me to say is magnificent. I hope you enjoy and join in on what I am calling an epic success.

I will posting more shortly after my camera battery has had a chance to charge, including rear, interior, and one with the Falcon. Unfortunately they are both about the same size as Lego models, despite the size difference on the blueprints.

This link will essentially tell you all you need to know about the Falcon and her long history of existence. The Outrider is a different model of CEC freighter that just happens to have enough in common with the Falcon that I could build her from the Falcon set. Below is the Outrider's page if your interested.

Wow. Thank you. Who would have guessed the Millenium Falcon got such a extensive backstory?

As do I, just wish it hadn't taken so long to build her. :D

Dang there's a different set #7965, I swear, The Millennium Falcon gets remade more than any other set.

actually the Snow speeder has 4 generations. The Falcon is on it's third like the X-wing, Y-wing and a few others.

Ah the snow speeder has had more? I figured it would be a Star Wars set anyways.

Does that 3rd generation include the detailed model they sold a few years back?

actually this latest falcon is the most accurate in appearance yet. True it doesn't have the escape pod like the last one did, but looking at it appears as close to the movie models as they've managed to get thus far. The same goes for the new X-Wing as well.
