So a week ago I bought a Millenium Falcon set# 7965 so that I could build the Corellian Engineering Corp. YT-2400. Specifically Dash Rendar's Outrider. Here I am one week later, after all the tinkering and adjusting and building posting my results. Though she has no escape pods or any other specific details to the class I feel they were welcome sacrifices for the over all look which if you'll permit me to say is magnificent. I hope you enjoy and join in on what I am calling an epic success.

Here is the shot with the Falcon. Unfortunately they are both about the same size as Lego models, despite the size difference on the blueprints.

On the plus side, I think that means that the Outrider is ALMOST in proper scale.

as a model it's probably close I'd say it's still a touch on the small side though.

Well, yeah, but it's still closer to proper scale than that Falcon set. And YT-2400s are pretty small anyway.

I had the opposite problem with one of my sci-fi vehicles builds: I couldn't make them small enough to be in scale.

building anything to proper scale in Lego is always a problem, one I tend to ignore since it's more of a headache than it's worth.

Yeah, and I knew that going in, but it was a nice try. I still have the scale mockups I built for my Vipers from after I did all the math on how many scale feet a brick or stud is. That was a very nerdy morning.

lol indeed it would be. I still haven't been able to build a believable or viable Viper.

I had a lot of fun with them and I thought they came out pretty well, if you'd like to take a look.
